By Road

Though there are many alternatives, the following directions should help get you to THE ALMOND.

From Canning Circus

Canning Circus is the convergence point for several main routes into Nottingham city centre from the North and West - the A610 (Alfreton Road), the A609 (Ilkeston Road) and the A6200 (Derby Road).  The route around Canning Circus is a bit like the shape of a hairpin.  Keep the buildings that form the centre of Canning Circus to your immediate right as you go around and this will take you naturally onto Wollaton Street.  THE ALMOND is about 160m on, to the right hand side.

From the North via A610

If coming from outside Nottingham, the A610 intersects the M1 at Junction 26.  The distance from there is approximately 4.5 miles.  Join the A610 anywhere North of the city centre.  Continue on the A610 following signs for Nottingham.  As you approach Nottingham, the A610 is called Alfreton Road.  At the end of Alfreton Road you will reach Canning Circus. Continue straight ahead onto Wollaton Street.

From the West via A52 -> A6200

If coming from outside Nottingham, the A52 intersects the M1 at Junction 25.  The distance from there is approximately 7.5 miles.

Join the A52 anywhere West of the city centre.  Continue on the A52 following signs for Nottingham.  At about 1.5 miles out, follow signs for A6200/City Centre.  (At this point, the A6200 continues ahead more or less in the same direction, whereas the A52 turns South).  You come to Canning Circus at the top of the road.  Follow this round onto Wollaton Street.

From the South via A453

If coming from outside Nottingham, the A453 intersects the M1 at Junction 24.  The distance from there is approximately 11.5 miles.  If on or around the M1 Junction 24, an alternative route is to continue to Junction 25 and from there follow the 'From the West' directions.

Join the A453 anywhere South West of the city centre.  Continue on the A453 following signs for Nottingham until you reach a t-junction with Castle Boulevard at the end.  Turn right and then immediately left and continue on to join Maid Marian Way.  At the roundabout after about 0.4 miles,  take the first exit onto A610 Derby Road.  As you approach Canning Circus at the top of the road after about 0.1 miles, follow signs for M1 South and within a few yards the City Centre in order to navigate around Canning Circus and onto Wollaton Street.

From the East via A52

If coming from outside Nottingham, the A52 intersects the A46 near Bingham.  The distance from there is approximately 9.5 miles.

Join the A52 anywhere East of the city centre.  Continue on the A52 following signs for Nottingham until you reach the roundabout at Gamston.  Follow the A6011 Radcliffe Road, which is the 2nd exit.  After about 1.3 miles, stay on Radcliffe Road, now the A6520.  At the t-junction just after, turn right into A60 London Road.  At the roundabout in about 1 mile, take the first exit into A6008 Canal Street.  Stay on the A6008, which takes you onto Maid Marian Way.  with Castle Boulevard at the end.  Turn right and then immediately left and continue on to join Maid Marian Way.  At the roundabout after about 0.4 miles,  take the first exit onto A610 Derby Road.  As you approach Canning Circus at the top of the road after about 0.1 miles, follow signs for M1 South and within a few yards the City Centre in order to navigate around Canning Circus and onto Wollaton Street.
